Once the Project is Created, your Project will effectively be in Stage 1.
At the top of the screen, you will see a yellow banner specifying the required steps for completing Setup.
This does not mean you cannot already move forward and progress with the tasks required in Stage 2 - Quote Pack. Stage 2 will however not be able to be completed until Stage 1 has first reached its completion.
The yellow banner depicted above will list what exact step(s) may be missing for completion of the stage. Essentially, every participant must log in, and sign a mutual NDA - for more information, see How do I sign an NDA?
As M&A Transactions have 2 sides, there are also 2 types of Policies SEMI© can cover: Buyer-Side Policies and Seller-Side Policies.
The requirements and options within these 2 types of Policies will differ.
We identify Buyer-side Policies as Policies where the insured is the buyer, or on the Buyer-side of the transaction, and Seller-Side Policies as Policies where the insured is the seller, or on the seller-side of the Transaction. Even if you may be the Seller, or on the Seller-Side of the transaction, the Project as io.insure sees it may be for a Buyer-side Policy. This is because SEMI© Buyer-side policies involve the Buyer-side and the Seller-side, whereas SEMI© Seller-Side Policies only involve the Seller-side.
Please select below whether you are acting within a Buyer-side or Seller-side Policy.
The Buyer, the Seller and their advisors must all log into the platform, enter the Project and sign their respective NDAs.
If the Project was set-up by the Buyer or the Buyer's Principal Advisor, the Seller also requires to appoint their advisor, and for their advisor to Sign the NDA, as depicted in the below example:
The Seller and it's Advisor(s) must log into the platform, enter the Project and sign the NDA to complete the Stage.
